VETSPORTS MOBILE APPLICATION

VETSports, a non-profit organization improving Veterans’ physical, mental, and emotional health through physical activity and community involvement, is pleased to announce a mobile app is currently being developed that will efficiently connect over 15,000 members with other veterans, organize community events, and supports direct messaging with chapter leadership.

“The VETSports app will undoubtedly transform our community,” said VETSports President Randy Tharp. “We endeavor to provide highly convenient, interactive opportunities for veterans to find critical emotional connections and life-saving comradery, and the release of the app will further this goal in an increasingly digital age.”

With funding sponsorship from GAI, the VETSports app will enable members to:

●      Find their closest chapter or create a new one

●      Start up a pick-up game

●      Discover other veterans near them

●      View and plan upcoming events

●      Send direct messages to leadership

VETSports currently has 40 chapters across 23 states. In the near future, the organization’s top priority is meeting the expectations of current members and establishing a presence in every single state. As a 99% volunteer-based nonprofit, the new app will be critical in ensuring members have the resources they need to run their chapters efficiently.
